Why is ClipClip trying to connect to https://xycbv.bemobtrk.com/

BitDefender identifies this as a suspicious website.

Hi,

It happened due to integration of third-parity library.
It shall not be dangerous but this library will be excluded from ClipClip in the next release

Has this been fixed?  I get daily warnings about Clip Clip trying to do this and my router and/or malware protection blocking it.

Hello,

We have to know the ClipClip version that you use.
In addition, please send the report directly from your ClipClip app.
To do this, go to the main menu => "Help => click the "Report a problem" command => In the "Report a problem" dialog, enter your question.
NOTE: This report will be placed on our internal ClipClip Support website.
This report will contain ClipClip settings and some configurations of additional libraries.
As a result, we will be able to answer your question in more detail.

Best Regards,
Vitzo Team.

Report a problem sent from within the app as requested.  ClipClip says I am using the latest version.  2.4.4981

For anyone else, like the original poster, dealing with this, I received the following reply to my support ticket.  I am not 100% sure yet if it works, but I set the option as suggested and so far so good.

I am not sure but most likely, this request is sent by an additional library that is added to the ClipClip app.
Maybe, to fix your issue, you have to disable the "Help maintaining ClipClip by contributing with unused bandwidth" option.
To do this,
- Open the Configuration window;
- Uncheck (disable) the "Help maintaining ClipClip by contributing with unused bandwidth" option on the "General" tab;
- Click the "Save" button to save new settings.
That's all.

NOTE: In any case, the "Help maintaining ClipClip by contributing with unused bandwidth" option has already been removed from the ClipCLip app. You will get these changes with new updates.
