Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you describe your problem in more detail?
Please follow these steps:
- Run the ClipClip app;
- Go to the main menu;
- Click the "About" => "Report a problem" command;
- In the "Report a problem" dialog, describe your problem in necessary fields.
- After that, click the "Send" button to send this report to our "Support" website;

We will check this report and the log file that will be automatically attached to it.
Most likely, the log file contains records about some errors that will help us to fix the necessary code.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Best Regards,

Good job on not reading the issue. It really shows your level of skill. The problem literally states that the application freezes upon any click in the ClipClip UI and your solution is to use the UI (THAT FREEZES) to send a report. (I have the same issue btw)

Good job.

Thank you.

Update: The fix (for me) was to uninstall ClipClip and use a different clipboard manager.

Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Most likely, you are right. The best way for you is to use another clipboard manager.

As you see, the first author and you did not provide any useful information that could help us to try to solve your problem.
For example,
- We do not know the ClipClip version that you use;
- We know nothing about Windows OS where your ClipClip app runs;
- Where did you download the ClipClip installer?;
...There are many questions.
Therefore, I asked the previous user to send the report directly from the ClipClip app to get this information - the report contains all necessary info about Window OS and ClipClip settings.
In addition, the report has an attached ClipClip log file that can contain records about your problem.
The path of a local folder where the log can be created:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Vitzo\ClipClip

Please follows these steps:
You have to delete the old data, that were created by the previous ClipClip app, before a new installation.
- Close the ClipClip app if it is running;
- Uninstall the ClipClip app (use "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features").
- Restart your computer.

2) Delete these folders:
- Optional: Delete this folder if it exists: "C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\Documents\ClipClip" - contains the saved clips;
- Delete this folder if it exists: "C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Vitzo\ClipClip" - contains the log file with errors;
- Delete this folder if it exists: "C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Vitzo\ClipClip" - contains the latest clips, pinned clips, additional settings;

3) Remove all data from the Windows Registry that was created by ClipClip app as its settings for the next start:
- Open this key: "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vitzo\ClipClip"
On the left side, right-click on the "ClipClip" subkey and click the "Delete" menu item in the context menu.
Look at the screenshot (copy this link and open it in another tab:

4) Download the ClipClip installer from the website (URL: https://www.clipclip.com) and install the ClipClip app.

That's all. We hope this information will be useful to you.

Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yesterday, I was tried to find the reason for the "ClipClip app freezes" problem.
After many tests in my local project, I detected that the "Clip Preview" feature (in the grid) can generate this problem.
As a result, I disabled it and created a new ClipClip build for the tests.
Here is a link where you can download the "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.4.5171 [DEBUG]" version with the last corrections.
In my opinion, it may already contain the necessary fixes to resolve the problem when the ClipClip app freezes.

So, please follow these steps:
0) Before tests, restore the "Application" value in the "Override high DPI scaling behaviour" option in the Configuration window on the "View" tab.
Click the "Save" button to save new settings. Restart the ClipClip app.
1) Close your installed ClipClip app if it is running - if the "Run on Windows startup" option is enabled(checked), disable(uncheck) it before ClipClip closing;
2) Download the "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.4.5171 DEBUG.zip" archive from this link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ed1TiGtwuj1xY1q_gQsQFJjKtmqj0Kx7/view?usp=sharing
3) Unzip downloaded "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.4.5171 DEBUG.zip" archive;
4) Open the "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.4.5171 DEBUG" folder and find the "ClipClip.exe" file;
5) Double-click on the "ClipClip.exe" file to run the ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.4.5171 app;
That's all.

NOTE: In this ClipClip 2.4.5171 version, I disabled the feature when you move the mouse pointer over the "eye" icon in the grid to open clip preview - visit this link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NLmL28AXNaNp9UVphFzyIRlTMziQICCp/view?usp=sharing
So this does not work in this build for your tests since I think that the code of this feature generates the "ClipClip app freezes" problem.
Please test this ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.4.5171 app to check if it will freeze on your computer.

NOTE: This version of ClipClip has several new options and features that are being tested and are not yet included in the release version.

If this version works properly on your computer, you can use it instead of the installed version until a new release version is available.
If there are some problems, please send a report directly from this ClipClip 2.4.5171 version.
To do this, go to the main menu in the main window => "About" => "Report a problem" command.

I am waiting to know if this ClipClip build works properly on your computer and it does not freeze.
If it works properly, I will make necessary changes in the internal code of the  "Clip Preview" feature (in the grid).
If ClipClip freezes, I will try to find another reason for this problem.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Best Regards,
Vitzo Team.
