I saved my clips prior to updating the app, How can I reload them to ClipClip?

I saved my clips to a folder on my hard drive, and applied the update to the latest version. How can I reimport my clips to be able to use them again?

Hello,

To solve your issue, just connect the folder (with clips/files) to the ClipClip app:

The ClipClip app has been developed as an application that works with real files as Windows Explorer. All latest or saved clips are physical files on the hard drive. This is cool because we do not need to use any databases to store clips. In another hand, in any saved/attached folder, you can create/move/edit clips using other applications. For example, MS Word, Notepad, Paint, Photoshop, etc. All changes automatically will be applied to the loaded clips in the ClipClip app.

ClipClip contains the "Pinned Clips" folder. You can pin any clip from any subfolder (use "Pin clip" menu item in the context menu any clip or move it to this folder using the "Drag-and-Drop" operation). After that, in the main window, you can open the "Pinned Clips" folder and have all selected clips in one place. In the global Paste Menu, you will see the "Pinned Clips" menu item with these clips.

In addition, since pinned clips are just shortcuts (real Windows shortcuts) of the real clips/files, you can rename any pinned clip as you want. The new title of the pinned clip will not affect the title of the source clip. Deleting pinned clips does not affect their source clips.

All this was implemented for easy moving clips between computers.

More detail about Pinned Clips:
The pinned clips are real Windows shortcuts. They are located in this folder:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Vitzo\ClipClip\Favorite Clips

Now, regarding your problem:
Most likely, you pinned the latest clip. In this case, the pinned clip (shortcut of the original clip) is removed once the original latest clip is removed.
The best practice is the creation of the saved clip from the latest one - here is an example: https://i.imgur.com/7gqLIQr.gif
In this case, the saved clip will never be removed automatically.
After that, you can pin it.
