Hi Brian

Here is a short description:
ClipClip collects copied data from the clipboard. All the data are stored on the hard disk as files.
The data types that are supported by the ClipClip app:
- TEXT;
- UNICODE;
- Comma Separated Value;
- RTF;
- HTML;
- IMAGE (the copied images and screenshots);
- The file paths that were copied in Windows Explorer;

Each new clip will be added to the Latest Clips folder in the ClipClip application. This folder is the main workspace of the data used by the user.
Each newly created latest clip will be stored as an encrypted file in the system folder of a specific user. When the user closes the ClipClip app, all the latest clips are saved in this folder as the encrypted files. You (or another user that has an account on your computer) can access this folder using Windows Explorer, and see these files. These files have unreadable file names. You can not open these files in other applications to view their content. When the ClipClip app is launched, these files will be decrypted and you can view them in the grid. The only ClipClip app that created these encrypted files, can decrypt them.

You can move any latest clips into a saved folder using the ClipClip app. In this case, the encrypted files are deleted and new files are created in this saved folder as the standard files of Windows.
These files are not encrypted, so you can open them using Windows Explorer in the default application (Notepad, Word, WordPad, Paint, etc.). You can work with these files as with the other files. You can edit them in any other app. All new changes will be added to ClipClip automatically. These files can be shared with other users on the current machine or on the Clouds (OneDrive, DropBox, Google Drive). Therefore they are not encrypted by default.

If you want to protect the files in the Saved folder, you can encrypt this folder with its files. You have to create a new password for this folder, so no one can open this folder without this password.

While ClipClip is closing, the latest clip is removed from the clipboard for security reasons.

NOTE: There is an option that allows deleting all your latest clips when the ClipClip app is closing.

Best Regards,
Vitzo Team.
