Windows already includes windows key + v, why should I use this product?

Just press windows key and v at the same time and it does it for you.

Hi Kendell,

ClipClip is not a simple clipboard manager. It has many features.
Here you can read more about that.

Best regards,
Alexander

I know it's hard to deal with customers who rant, but here's my opinions. Also maybe you could add screenshots so people know what the UI looks like?

  • Multiple folders: ClipClip has it but I wonder why? However you could just copy into an excel spreadsheet's different columns, or use anything for support like monday.com. You can also pin items.
  • Drag+drop in folders: This should be part of multiple folders.
  • Search inside of history: ClipClip win W+V doesn't have that, but it's not too hard to scroll down.
  • Paste menu: Windows win W+V does have that, and I like the implementation more.
  • Hotkey customization: ClipClip has it but I wonder why? Some people like weird shortcuts, I'm not one of them.
  • Cloud drive sync: ClipClip has it but I wonder why? You can already paste to folders in OneDrive. Sure, it might be easier, I guess...
  • Translate to any language: ClipClip has it but I wonder why? "translate.google.com" isn't very hard to remember.
  • Filter by file type: This should be part of search inside of history.
  • Password protected folders: ClipClip has it but I wonder why? There's a whole section in Windows Settings about setting up PINs, passwords, and biometric auth for your computer. Why do I need a second layer if I can make it lock me out every 15 seconds without activity?
  • Screen capture: Windows win Windows key + shift + s. It couldn't get easier than that.
  • Video recording: Tie Windows key + g opens the game bar, where you can record apps. It doesn't have support for switching between apps, though. As soon as you change focus recording stops.
  • Gif recording: This should be part of apply actions Why is a GIF better than an MP4? I can already find thousands of converters if I need to.
  • Extract text from images: This should be part of apply actions
  • Contour detection: Tie Can you elaborate or provide a screenshot?
  • Apply actions: ClipClip win Very handy.
  • Text format: ClipClip has it but I wonder why? Look, 4 keystrokes: Windows key, w, o, r, d. That's how easy it is to open Microsoft Word.
  • Translate to any language: We covered this before!
  • Analyze selection: ClipClip has it but I wonder why? You could just Google it...
  • Capitalize text: ClipClip... uh... maybe you could give some use cases?
  • Replace text: ClipClip win
  • Remove: This should be part of replace text
  • Sort: Yeah, some use cases would be nice...
  • Hash generator: I guess if you like to download torrents or something
  • Decode and encode: I don't do that every day. Seems like a lot for a context menu...
  • Send to email: As long as you don't get hacked and leak my credentials
  • Send to pastebin: I think you forgot to update the description. I suppose if your job is leaking NSA documents...
  • Tweet it: Well please don't add "This tweet was made with ClipClip. Download ClipClip today!" to the end.
  • Search in browser: What do you mean? Did your translator confuse browser and search engine?
  • Read aloud: One to skimp on capitalization, huh? Edge already includes immersive reader.
  • Extract text from image: We already covered this!
  • Color adjust: Use case please!
  • Flip image: Well sure, that might be handy if my copying machine is broken.
  • Rotate: I guess, that might be handy.
  • Add margins: Gee. Use cases are lacking here.
  • Add watermark: Yeah, I bet it says ClipClip.
  • Blur image: Looks like you skimped on the descriptions again. Does this blur someone's face or the whole image?
  • Text editor: Sure, but we already have Notepad and Word...
  • Image editor: Sounds nice!

I also have some other questions:

- How easy is the install process?

- Does this take up memory?

- Does this take up CPU?

- Is this bloatware?

- It's not built-in.

Kendell,
We are appreciate for your critics and notices. We will take it into account and will improve description of ClipClip's features. May be you right that existing description is not clear enough.
I can say only that "the proof of the pudding is in the eating". Please try ClipClip to get your own view of functionality and usability.

- How easy is the install process?
We did it as simple as it possible.

- Does this take up memory?
It depends of amount of clips that you use and store. "Clean" copy of ClipClip takes only about 24Mb of RAM while running.

- Does this take up CPU?
Monitoring of clipboard doesn't take any perceptible amount of CPU resources but some features (e.g. OCR, Screen recording) can take some amount.

- Is this bloatware?

We work to make it as optimal as it possible.

- It's not built-in.

Yes, you are right but it was a time when browsers was not build-in.
Also, I should note that there are many applications that are useful but no build-in into OS. E.g.:
* There are Notepad and WordPad in Windows but most users prefers advanced text editors.
* 3 most popular browsers are not embedded into Windows but more than 85% of users have chosen these browsers

Thanks. That helped a lot.
