I was notified of an update. The windows said to be sure to save your clips before performing the update so I did. After the update when the programs open none of my recently used clips are listed anymore. How do I get the saved clips to show in recent clips again? I can't believe that I will have to open each saved clip again and capture all of my clips so they show back up in recent clips.

The latest clips are not constant clips - they are temporary clips. There is a limited number of the latest clips - for example, 300. As a result, if this number is reached, the new latest clips are created, the old ones are automatically removed.
Not all latest clips are useful. Many of them are garbage and will never be used.
Therefore, to store the necessary latest clips, move them to selected folders - in this case, these clips are already saved clips and never be deleted automatically. You can keep many clips (in fact, files) in the folder without any limitation.
