Keyboard Monitoring Interferes with Visual Studio

I just updated to the latest version of ClipClip... now I find that none of the keyboard shortcuts in Visual Studio which involve pressing CTRL+SHIFT+<other key> work.

It took me ages to find out it was ClipClip blocking them. As soon as I close ClipClip, VS starts working again.

The previous version didn't have this problem - where can I download the older version from please?

Kind Regards,

Hedley

Hi Hedley

If some global keys are blocking the local key combinations any program, you can change these global keys in the Configuration window on the "Hotkeys" tab.
NOTE: In addition, you can disable some unused global keys on this tab.

Hi Vitzo team,
I have a similar issue with MS Outlook. When running ClipClip in the background the Quick Steps function (CTRL + SHIFT + <nr> no longer works.

Have tried the advice below changing ClipClip to use CTRL + ALT + <letter> instead, but this does not solve the issue.

Can you provide a fix for this issue please.

Thanks

Best regards,
Kris

Hello

"CTRL + SHIFT + NUM" hotkeys are used for the pinned clips.
So "CTRL + SHIFT + [0-9] hotkeys are automatically registered for the first 10 your pinned clips.
Unfortunately, in the current ClipClip version you are using, you cannot disable these hotkeys to avoid conflicts with other apps. But it will be available in the next release that is coming soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Yaroslav,

Thanks for your response & happy to hear that the issue will be addressed in the next version. At the moment I have to disable ClipClip & manually start it when doing extensive copy- paste activities.

Looking forward to the next release where I can use it all the time in parallel with other programs.

Keep up the good work - much appreciated!

Hi Kris

You can always use the ClipClip app, just remove the pinned clips (in this case, hotkeys "CTRL + SHIFT + [0-9]" will not be registered for the ClipClip app) to solve your problem.
Since the latest clips are not permanent - they always are moved (new clips are added, the old ones are removed) - if you want to save some latest clips to use them in the future, move selected clips (using Drag-and-Drop operation) into some saved folder to create saved clips. The saved clips also are available from the Paste Menu:
