Windows make it easy to assign shortcut keys, aka hotkeys. If you built a command option to ClipClip, we would also get keyboard shortcuts automatically. If "ClipClip.exe 1", for example, would paste whatever was the first paste option, I could assign that command to Ctrl-Alt-1 and have a hotkey to paste often-used stuff like signatures.

If the hotkeys for the "Key combinations for pinned clips" option are enabled, the first 10 pinned clips will get hotkeys automatically:
CTRL+SHIFT+1
CTRL+SHIFT+2
CTRL+SHIFT+3
etc.

If the hotkeys for the "Key combinations for pinned clips" option are disabled, you can paste the pinned clips directly from the "Paste Menu".
NOTE: Pinned clips are always visible in the "Paste Menu".
If you do not see all pinned clips, scroll the mouse over this section to find the necessary pinned clip.

NOTE: The best way is to create saved clips from the latest ones, after that pin the saved clips. In this case, the pinned clips will never be lost.

this feature is now a thing, and I had it working for all of 5 min... but now it doesn't work for me.
I noticed in slack that control+shift+2 does something else.
also, my arcwise extension in chrome is already using control+shift+1
any ideas for how I can fix this and re-enable this feature?
