Using Shift to paste without formatting has stopped working

I have been using ClipClip for a while now, and have found it useful to hold down the Shift key when either clicking an item in the quick paste window, or pressing the Enter key to paste the text without formatting.

However, it has recently stopped working. Now when I try it, nothing happens. The window remains open, and nothing is pasted. Clicking or pressing Enter without Shift works as before, but pastes with formatting, which is not always what I want.

I had a message pop up about a new version, so I updated, but the version number seems to have stayed the same at 2.3.4778. I'm on Windows 10 with all the latest updates.

Any ideas why I can't paste without formatting? Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for using the ClipClip app.

Here is a link where you can download the "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.3.4942 [DEBUG]" version with the last corrections.
It may already contain the necessary fixes to resolve your issue. If you want, you can download it for free to test it.
So, please follow these steps:
1) Close your installed ClipClip app if it is running - if the "Run on Windows startup" option is checked, uncheck it before closing;
2) Download the "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.3.4942 DEBUG.zip" archive from this link:

3) Unzip downloaded "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.3.4942 DEBUG.zip" archive;
4) Open the "ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.3.4942 DEBUG" folder and find the "ClipClip.exe" file;
5) Double-click on the "ClipClip.exe" file to run the ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.3.4942 app;
That's all.

NOTE: This version of ClipClip has several new options and features that are being tested and are not yet included in the release version.

If this version works properly on your computer, you can use it instead of the installed version until a new release version is available.
NOTE: Please let us know whether this ClipClip Pro (Beta) 2.3.4942 version works properly on your computer.
If there are some problems, please send a report directly from this ClipClip 2.3.4942 version.
To do this, go to the main menu in the main window => "About" => "Report a problem" command.

I tried the beta, but had exactly the same issue. I used the beta o report the problem and referred to this thread.

Hello,

The ClipClip 2.3.4778 version works differently.
Please carefully take a look at the screenshot.
There are described keys for some operations.
For example, to paste a clip, that contains formatted text, as plain text (unformatted text), select it in the Paste Menu and press the "M" key to paste it.
As a result:
- If the selected clip has TEXT, CSV, RTF, or HTML type, the plain text will be pasted.
- If the selected clip has IMAGE type, image metadata (as text) will be pasted;
