Screenshots/images are not being pasted correctly

Hi, after the latest update, images/screenshots are not being pasted correctly. They get uploaded in some 'binary' format on Slack, and any other app is unable to process the image file as well.

Saving them to a file works. But the one on the clipboard gets pasted weirdly and hence is not processed.

I can't paste them to Google Docs, ChatGPT, Claude, Slack, anywhere.

I've been using ClipClip for years now and it's worked great till the last update. Please check and fix this; it's a critical functionality for me. I have to look for alternatives until then.

Thanks.

This is also happening to me and has caused me to waste so much time trying to fix as I use this feature often.

I can save images to a file no issue.

I also found a workaround: I take a screenshot, Open ClipClip, and press Ctrl + D. Then the image gets pasted correctly.

I just downloaded the latest version and still this issue isn't fixed. Please look into this and fix it ASAP :/

Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you describe the steps we should take to reproduce this problem on our computers?

For example, describe your steps in a similar way:
- I copied an image on the web page (or in any other application) and a new latest clip (IMAGE type) was created.
OR
- I created a screenshot using the 'Take a screenshot' feature (CTRL+ SHIFT+PRTSC hotkeys) in the ClipClip app. As a result, a new latest clip (IMAGE type) was created.
NOTE: Please click the 'eye' icon (which is placed at the beginning of the row in the grid) to open this clip in the 'Clip Viewer' and check whether this clip contains the correct image that you copied. Provide us with this information.
...
A little later, I tried to paste this clip (IMAGE type) in an application (Paint, Photoshop, Gmail, etc.)
...
- by clicking this clip in the 'Paste Menu' (CTRL+SHIFT+V hotkeys).
OR
- by pressing the 'CTRL+D' shortcuts in the main window of the ClipClip app.
OR
- by clicking the 'Copy clip with formatting' command in the context menu of this clip in the main window of the ClipClip app.
OR
- by double-clicking on this clip in the main window of the ClipClip app.

NOTE: Try all these steps to know whether all of them do not work properly. Provide us with this information.

Otherwise, if you can, please record a video where you copied an image (or took a screenshot) and are trying to paste it into some application and this problem appears.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Best Regards,
Vitzo Team.

Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience.
This bug has been fixed in our local project in SVN revision 5929.
After tests, you will get these corrections with new updates.

It's still not happening on my work computer, but it works on my home computer, which doesn't have all of the different apps my job does.  When I paste directly after a screenshot has been captured on the clipboard, this is the result. However, when I use the paste menu, it works fine.

Hello,

Here is a link where you can download the "ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929.zip" version with the last corrections that was created specifically for you.
It may already contain the necessary fixes to resolve your problem.
You can run this ClipClip version directly from the hard drive (or any flash drive) without its installation and use it as any other portable application.
So, please follow these steps:
1) Close your installed ClipClip app if it is running - if the "Run on Windows startup" option is enabled(checked), disable(uncheck) it before ClipClip closing;
2) Download the "ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929.zip" archive from this link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JCXjIMIuI5VcaIukOWF0PhnIUcDB6wkj/view?usp=sharing
3) Unzip the downloaded "ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929.zip" archive;
4) Open the "ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929" folder and find the "ClipClip.exe" file;
5) Double-click on the "ClipClip.exe" file to run the ClipClip app;
That's all.

NOTE: This ClipClip version has several new options and features that are being tested and are not yet included in the release version.

If this version works properly on your computer, you can use it instead of the installed ClipClip version until a new release version is available.

If there are some problems, please send a report directly from this ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929 version.
To do this:
- Open the main window of the ClipClip app;
- Go to the main menu: "Help" => click the "Report a problem" command:
1) Enter the problem name;
2) Enter some description of the problem;
3) Enter your email to get our response;
That's all. This report will contain ClipClip settings and your log file that may contain records about your problem.
NOTE: The log file is placed in this folder on your computer: "C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Vitzo\ClipClip"

NOTE: One more thing:
The "ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929" app does not contain the "ffmpeg.exe" file in the "ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929\Tools\FFmpeg" folder since I removed it to reduce the total size of the archive.
As a result, you will not be able to use features to record a screen. To solve this issue, you can copy the existing "ffmpeg.exe" file in the installed ClipClip app ("C:\Program Files\ClipClip\Tools\FFmpeg" folder on your computer) and paste it to the "ClipClip ProBeta 2.4.5929\Tools\FFmpeg" folder.
That's all.

Please provide us with the test result of our problem.

Thank you for your cooperation again.

Best Regards,
Vitzo Team.
